The stabbing of a boy at a venue in Manchester city centre is being linked to the shooting of a 16-year-old last month, the Manchester Evening News understands.
The boy was knifed in the back on Saturday evening at the Love Factory on Dantzic Street in the Green Quarter. The warehouse was hosting an event at the time.
The victim, aged 19, was subsequently rushed to hospital from the scene, where he remains with serious injuries. Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation into the stabbing which is understood to have happened after a fight broke out at the venue shortly before.
The incident is believed to be the latest in a spate of tit-for-tat violence involving rival gangs and is being linked to the shooting in the chest of a 16-year-old boy in Stretford.
