Captain Tom Moore has become a national treasure after raising more than £28 million for the NHS’ fight against coronavirus, but he still ‘doesn’t feel famous’.  The 99-year-old war hero attracted the staggering amount of donations after successfully completing 100 laps around his garden in support of the healthcare professionals bravely putting themselves at risk on the coronavirus frontlines.

Since then, Captain Tom has catapulted to stardom worldwide and was even honoured with the Pride of Britain Award this week for his incredible charitable efforts.

He’s also contending with pop superstar The Weeknd for the number one spot with his charity single, You’ll Never Walk Alone, featuring Michael Ball and the NHS Voices of Care Choir.
