Hero fundraiser Captain Tom Moore will be knighted by the Queen in his own personal ceremony at Windsor Castle on Friday. It is the first time that the monarch - who has been isolating since the start of the lockdown - has made a public engagement since March 8.
She was seen in public for the first time since lockdown on June 13 when she attended a stripped back Trooping the Colour. Captain Tom, who turned 100 in April, raised nearly £33million for health service charities by walking laps of his Bedfordshire garden.
