Can I visit France? Latest travel advice after country is removed from quarantine exemption list

The Foreign Office has changed its travel advice for Brits heading to France. The FCO now advises against 'all but essential travel' to the country, as well as the island of Corsica, over fears of rising numbers of coronavirus cases.

Any Brits who are in France from 4am on Saturday 15th August will also be required to self-isolate for 14 days when they return home.

So what does that mean if you have a holiday booked? Unfortunately, as the FCO advises against travel, your holiday is effectively cancelled.

Your first point of call should be the tour operator or travel firm you booked with - they will be able to advise you. During the pandemic, travel companies are usually offering a range of options including re-booking for a later date,
