Viewers watched as barrister and widower Matthew Aylward had a surprise visit from his father, Sir Brigham Aylward. But relations between the pair were frosty as Matthew's father is less than impressed that his son is living in Poplar in East London.
Matthew revealed he wanted to invest more money in the borough, whereas Sir Brigham wanted to sell up. But while relations were at an all time low, Trixie was left to deliver tragic news to Matthew.
