Call the Midwife viewers have said they're not sure if they will be able to 'cope' as they complained about a major change announced at the end of the latest episode.

Fans' favourite nuns and nurses were back on screen on Sunday night (February 12) as the penultimate episode of the 12th series aired on BBC One.

The episode saw a string of characters fall ill with Hepatitis after Dr Patrick Turner noticed an upward trend in confirmed cases.

It started after Sister Monica Joan was seen comforting a pregnant mother who had gone into labour while visiting the latest clinic.
