Call of Duty: Vanguard maker Activision issues apology over 'insensitive' use of Quran

Activision has issued an apology after complaints were made over the "insensitive" use of the Quran in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Earlier this week, it was discovered pages from the holy text had been scattered across the floor of one of the Zombies maps.

The pages were torn and blood was splattered over the Arabic script. Read more: In Islam, the Quran is the holiest and most sacred book, and is considered to be the word of God.

It is thus treated with the utmost respect by Muslims, many of whom were outraged that it was placed in the game with such disrespect.
