Christmas Day tradition showing no sign of slowing up for daring Brits. Brave beachgoers hit the water up and down the country on Saturday dressed in festive attire.

Those in Scotland refused to let the breezy 3C degrees weather put a halt to proceedings, even with snow and wind thrashing down not too much further north.

Donning a variety of Christmas hats, both humans and pets braved the cold waters kitted out in elf outfits and tutus to jump into the ocean.People also gathered at Tynemouth Beach in the North East, where similar Christmas costumes were worn by swimmers.A photographer was stationed at Portobello beach in Edinburgh to capture a man disguised as a Christmas tree, put a green and gold twist on Daniel Craig's famous Bond sea.
