A 13-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital with coronavirus after suffering bloodshot eyes and a rash. Lewis Greig remains on a ventilator to help him breathe but is making "steady steps" to a recovery from Covid-19, as his mum warns parents to be on the look out for the unusual symptoms.
He first fell unwell with a high temperature at home in Aberdeen, Scotland, and his condition rapidly worsened. When the teenager suffered the measles-like rash, red swollen eyes and vomiting, he was admitted to hospital and tested positive for Covid-19.
He's since been transferred to an intensive care unit in Glasgow and his family must wear protective equipment while visiting.
