East Kilbride Community Food bank is running out of emergency parcels as struggling families continue to be hit by a tidal wave of financial pressures post-lockdown.And organiser Karen Dornan fears the town's current food poverty crisis could see a return to lockdown levels, with people facing greater levels of hardship.In August the local food bank saw a 12 per cent rise in demand for emergency support, with 562 parcels distributed in the town due to people losing their jobs during the pandemic.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
