Several people have reported being ambushed by a buzzard on a country lane in Nailsea, Somerset.The RSPB said July and August is breeding season for birds of prey – meaning they could be more aggressive while protecting their young.Jogger Stuart Jelliss was left with cuts on his head after an attack.He said: “I was out running on Saturday morning when the bird swooped down and tried to grab the top of my head.“I wasn’t near any trees and so wasn’t threatening a nest so I can only assume it was hunting food.“I was in a narrow lane between head high hedges and I guess my head looked like attractive prey.“The impact was rather sudden but I wonder if the bird.
