Lucy Worsley, 46, addressed her use of the N-word while appearing in the second episode of the three-part series that originally aired on BBC Four and was repeated last weekend. The programme tackled the tough subject of the confederacy and the freedom of slaves.Lucy recited a quote during the episode from John Wilkes Booth that mentioned the N-word.However, many felt the presenter should have censored the quote and one Twitter user called her out on the matter.
The user said: “You are a c*w for saying the N-word on national television. I hope you never get to say it again! Kwasia” (sic)The BBC star replied: “You’re right, @therealpetraamp, it wasn’t acceptable and I apologise."Lucy’s representatives have been contacted.
