BBC viewers have expressed their disappointment after a TV historian became the second presenter in just three days at the station to use the N word without censorship.
During Saturday night's instalment of American History's Biggest Fibs on BBC Two, Lucy Worsley uttered the racial slur uncensored as she quoted John Wilkes Booth, the American actor who assassinated Abraham Lincoln.
It came just days after Social Affairs correspondent Fiona Lamdin sparked anger for using the term during a news broadcast. It was reported that 'senior editorial figures' at the BBC had given the go ahead for Lamdin to say the slur during a Points West news bulletin as she reported on an alleged incident of racism.
