Ayrshire Cancer Support launch appeal for creative DIY fundraising events
dailyrecord.co.ukAyrshire cancer charity is asking individuals to create their own DIY fundraising events to help raise much needed funds.Ayrshire Cancer Support are calling on fundraising heroes and supporters of the charity to get inventive in thinking up new ways to raise cash.The charity hope to see keen cancer crusaders utilise their skills, hobbies and passions to raise money in unique and fun ways.Volunteer driver Kerr Girvan completed an incredible Golf-a-thon challenge and raised a fantastic £2,500 for the cause.
Kerr managed to play eight golf courses in South Ayrshire - an incredible 144 holes in total — in only 48 hours.Despite some challenging weather conditions at times, Kerr managed to complete his epic challenge and documented his adventures.
