Aston Villa paid a poignant tribute to the late father of manager Dean Smith during their Premier League encounter with Sheffield United.
As top-flight action resumed on Wednesday night, with Villa and the Blades marking the return, the hosts made a touching and emotional gesture at Villa Park.
Smith's dad Ron - a lifelong Villa supporter - died last month aged 79 after contracting coronavirus following a previous diagnosis of dementia.
Ron was a steward at Villa Park and the Premier League club placed a jacket on a chair in the Holt End in memory of the manager's dad.
