Alan Shearer picks his England XI for Euro 2020 - and Ian Wright disagrees with one

England XI for this summer’s European Championship – but Ian Wright didn’t agree with all of his fellow pundit’s selections.

Match of the Day favourite Wright wasn’t sure about Shearer’s decision to include Jordan Henderson, citing the midfield’s recent injury worries.

Shearer, who set up his side in a 4-2-3-1 formation, began by choosing England stalwart Jordan Pickford in goal ahead of Dean Henderson and Nick Pope.

Conceding Southgate had a difficult decision to make at the back, the former Newcastle United legend said: “There’s going to be a big decision for Gareth to make in his squad in terms of the right-back position because of the quality we’ve got, but Alexander-Arnold would be the one that I would go for.”Joining Alexander-Arnold.
