Yaya Toure has been slammed by a Brazilian club boss for misleading them in transfer talks. Botofogo vice-chairman Ricardo Rotenberg believed he had Toure's word after talks between the pair over a move to Brazil's Serie A.
But it's emerged the former Manchester City Premier League winner has committed to a deal with Botafogo rivals Vasco da Gama – leaving Rotenberg enraged.
Toure, 37 earlier this month, has been without a club for six months after leaving Chinese League One side Qingdao Huanghai.
It was believed City midfield legend Toure, who won three league titles at City as well as two La Liga crowns and the Champions League at Barcelona, was set for a coaching career but decided to put that on hold for another season playing.
