A woman says she was told to 'wrap up' by the council calling their emergency line when her heating failed. Diane Brimble 76 and her partner and carer Gary Evans, 58, contacted Bristol City Council's emergency department when their gas radiators stopped working at around 3pm on Sunday.

Gary then says he was told the pair should 'wrap up' until engineers could reach them on a weekday, reports Bristol Live. Temperatures dipped to 3C on Sunday night and he said the couple "were freezing".
