A mum and her fugitive boyfriend were caught by cops after he used a dummy replacement in his prison cell to escape. Prison guards noticed Luke Harvey was missing from HMP Sudbury during an evening check after he placed a dummy in his cell, and escaped in a car driven by his girlfriend.
The escape was caught on CCTV which showed Harvey climbing over a 10ft wall, Derby Crown Court was told according to the Derbyshire Live.
Hannah Smith, a mum, who helped her boyfriend escape was waiting ready to drive him away from the prison. The couple were stopped on the M6 in Birmingham by police after fleeing to Skegness for a week away, they had been on the run for a week before they were caught.
