Wizz Air to restart flights in time for summer holidays in new lockdown lifeline

Budget airline Wizz Air is planning to restart holiday flights from June – meaning Brits could escape lockdown for Portugal and Greece.

The flights will depart from London Luton to Faro, Portugal, on June 16 and Zakynthos, Heraklion, Corfu and Rhodes in Greece at the beginning of July.

European flights have come to a standstill during the coronavirus pandemic with government restrictions meaning that only a few services are operating for essential travel such as people going to work or being repatriated, or for cargo.
