The discount will be applied automatically for everyone who live in a council tax band A-D property. This will include around 20 million households in the UK which also includes 95 per cent of rented properties.
The rebate will be paid by local authorities while your eligibility should have been determined at the start of the month on April.
To have qualified for the £150 you must be living in in a council tax bands A to D property in England and it must either be your sole or main home - this will exclude second homes and empty properties in terms of eligibility.
