Tyra Banks Defends Kim Kardashian's SKIMS Photo Shoot Amid Photoshop Allegations

Tyra Banks is defending her latest photo shoot. Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian‘s SKIMS line released their a new campaign, featuring iconic models Tyra, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel.

When the photos were released, many people slammed Kim, accusing her of photoshopping the photos to make Tyra appear slimmer.

In a new interview, Tyra defended the photo shoot. Click inside to read more… “This is something I’ve been talking about for decades,” Tyra shared during an interview with Kim on Today. “So, me curvier, me damn near almost 50 years old in this campaign — I think it is pretty empowering.” If you didn’t know, Tyra made history back in 1997 as the first Black woman to land a solo Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover.

Also in the interview, Tyra recalled how Kim convinced her to come out of modeling retirement to pose for SKIMS. “[Kim] said when I was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, she hadn’t seen boobs that were real and big,” Tyra recalled. “She said that that gave her self-esteem for her body.
