Harvey Elliott left Real Madrid chiefs stunned when they tried to convince him into leaving Liverpool. The 17-year-old has been tipped for a bright future on Merseyside and having come through the youth ranks at Fulham he had all the top clubs chasing him last summer.
Real Madrid were one of the sides as they invited the winger for a tour of their training ground and the Bernabeu. In a bid to butter him up they also offered him the chance to meet captain Ramos.
However, lifelong Liverpool fan Elliott, made it clear he wasn’t interested. “No, it’s OK, thanks,” Elliott replied, according to The Athletic. “I don’t like him after what he did to Mo Salah.” Elliott was of course referring to Ramos’ cynical foul on the Egyptian in the 2018
