The combustible Irishman was better known for his robust tackling than his goalscoring exploits, so it's probably fair to assume his celebration might have been a little bit rusty.
After sliding in to tap home a cross from the left, Keane picked himself up and ran over to the United fans before launching himself onto the ground like a penguin.
While similar celebrations often see players go sliding a few metres across the turf, Keane barely managed a couple of feet - to the amusement of Richards.Watching it back for Sky Sports ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby, Richards joked: "What is that?"
