His opportunities have failed to improve since Ralf Rangnick replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the midfielder on course to leave on a free transfer this summer.
Though Rangnick has snubbed Lingard, Rooney called for him to become a key part of United's side. He also made the claim that Maguire could become "world class" if he has his confidence restored.“As we said they’ve got good young players.
