Sold at the stationery retailer, Typo, the projection pens have been available in stores and online since the end of 2019. The toys were officially recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) this week.
The light-up pens feature a small button battery that the retail authority felt was not properly secured in the body of the pen and could therefore be easily accessed by small children.
This could then prove to be a choking hazard, especially if small children manage to remove the poorly-secured battery. Relevant: .
