The UK government "won't hesitate" to reimpose 14-day quarantine on arrivals from France if there's a spike in coronavirus, the Chancellor warned today.
Rishi Sunak refused to rule out the move amid mounting speculation France will be the next major country to have restrictions imposed by the UK.
People arriving from Spain into the UK, including British holidaymakers, are already forced to quarantine for 14 days due to local outbreaks.
Last night that quarantine list was expanded to include Belgium, as well as Andorra and The Bahamas, taking effect in most UK nations from 4am Saturday.
