The Met Office increased its heavy snow warning on Friday in preparation for snowfall from the early hours of Saturday.Forecasters said at least 1-3cm is expected fairly widely across the UK, with 5-10cm in some places, and between 300-400m in the Scottish mountains.
Drivers have been urged to take precaution on the roads to prevent the likelihood of vehicles and passengers becoming stranded.
