The Met Office has upgraded its heat alert to Level 3 for some parts of the UK as temperatures soar to at least 34C. The amber alert, called 'Heatwave action,' is in place for the south east of England, for four days, starting at noon today.
The Met Office advises Brits to looks out for older people, babies and those with underlying health conditions during the surge in temperatures.
It will be hotter than the Caribbean across the south east this weekend, which could see the hottest day of the year record smashed.
