UK is 'considering' plans to release young people from lockdown measures first, says top medic

Young people not living with their parents could potentially be freed from coronavirus lockdown rules first under plans being considered by the government.

A senior medic has today confirmed the measure is being 'considered' by UK health officials after a report by Warwick University argues that this group is least at risk from the virus, but most financially hit.

The paper being studied, written by the economics and behavioural science department, says that some four million people in the UK aged between 20 and 30 should resume a 'semi-normal life' as part of Britain's exit strategy.
