British Airways computer crisis hits Manchester Airport flights

British Airways' technical issues are impacting passengers flying through Manchester Airport. It was reported this morning that the operator had cancelled all short-haul flights from Heathrow Airport until at least Saturday afternoon.

BA apologised for the cancellations, caused by technical issues which they emphasised were not due to a cyber attack. It's understood to be likely that these cancellations will impact on outward domestic flights from Manchester. BA have been asked for clarification.

Long-haul flights were still operating but customers were warned of possible delays. BA warned it 'anticipated further disruption during the day' due to the hardware issue.
