British Airways' technical issues are impacting passengers flying through Manchester Airport. It was reported this morning that the operator had cancelled all short-haul flights from Heathrow Airport until at least Saturday afternoon.
BA apologised for the cancellations, caused by technical issues which they emphasised were not due to a cyber attack. READ MORE: No clothes, no presents: Misery for hundreds of Manchester Airport passengers after BA baggage blunder According to the airline's website, three services into Manchester were cancelled on Saturday morning - with arrivals scheduled for 9.35am, 10.50am and 11.55am marked with a red banner.
It's understood to be likely that these cancellations will impact on outward domestic flights from Manchester. BA have been asked for clarification.
Long-haul flights were still operating but customers were warned of possible delays. BA warned it 'anticipated further disruption during the day' due to the hardware issue.
