A section on the UCAS website has crashed leaving thousands of frustrated A-level students unable to find out what university they will go to.

Students are currently unable to log into the track system on the website to find out which higher education institution they will attend in September.

Hundreds of furious students have taken to social media to express their frustration. One student tweeted: "You've had 5 months to get this right.

You knew everyone would want to find out online. A crashed system is wholly unacceptable." Another said: "UCAS has crashed and my college hasn’t emailed yet and now my breathing has gone from automatic to manual #ResultsDay."
