An investigation has been launched after two men were seen riding a helpless pony attached to a makeshift wheelie bin in sweltering heat following a shocking case of animal cruelty.
The vulnerable Shetland pony was seen by witnesses, dragging the men before collapsing in the street during the hot weather.
According to eye-witnesses, the pony was made to walk in Winsford and Middlewich — where people stopped to take pictures with the poor animal.
Cheshire police were alerted over concerns for the welfare of a Shetland pony in Winsford on Friday, May 29. Officers searched the Stanthorne area and spoke to the owner at the scene, according to Cheshire Live.
