'Tunes in the Hoose' becomes a global gig

A Perthshire father and son are putting smiles on faces across the globe with a website that has brought the traditional Scottish music community together through lockdown.Musician Martin Macleod (55) and his son, also Martin (23), from Pitlochry, have started the ‘Tunes in the Hoose’ Facebook page.The pair, inspired by Martin snr’s friend Peter Wood, have brought over 475 musicians from 65 countries together in a private group to create music.One musician takes the lead and others then come in with different parts to the same tune.Filmmaker Martin jnr pieces the bits together and creates a song that is posted on to the main page.Fields and lanes blighted by piles of rubbishSo far around 100 songs created by the private group have gained
