Rapper Tory Lanez has been charged with shooting Meghan Thee Stallion on July 12, Los Angeles County prosecutors announced yesterday, via CNN and The Hollywood Reporter.
Lanez now has two felony counts. The Hollywood Reporter wrote that they are "assault with a semiautomatic firearm—personal use of a firearm; and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle." Authorities additionally told the outlet that Lanez "faces a gun allegation and that he personally inflicted great bodily injury."Lanez is accused of shooting Megan in the foot multiple times.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on October 13, and faces a maximum prison sentence of 22 years and eight months if convicted as charged.Megan first spoke about the incident on her.
