Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Joe Exotic and Dillon Passage’s marriage is over. On Friday, the 25-year-old took to Instagram to reveal he and the Tiger King star are “seeking a divorce” after three years together. Passage also detailed how he first met Exotic in November of 2017 “during a difficult time” in his life, and the pair got hitched a month later.

Then, the big cat enthusiast got sentenced to 22 years in prison for plotting a murder-for-hire against nemesis Carole Baskin, among other charges in September of 2018.

He continued to explain when the Netflix docuseries was released his “life was thrown into a world of media and public attention.
