Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has won the club's player of the month award for February - despite only giving himself a rating of 4/10 for his Gunners career so far.
Partey, 28, joined the north Londoners in October 2020 following a £45million deal with Atletico Madrid but has struggled with consistency due to injuries. However, the Ghanian star has enjoyed a good run of games of late, forming a solid partnership with Granit Xhaka at the base of the midfield.
His performances have helped the Gunners break into the top four for the first time in two months - and seen him rewarded with the club's player of the month award for February. He won 49 per cent of the vote, narrowly edging out Norwegian maestro Martin Odegaard, with England youngster Bukayo Saka in third.Despite his excellent recent form, Partey struggled during his first season in north London due to a combination of injuries and playing behind closed doors because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
But the midfielder is his own biggest critic and didn't hold back when assessing his contribution to Mikel Arteta's side in an interview in December.
