Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Lewis Hamilton was once told off by The Queen, as he made a mistake and broke protocol during his visit to the Palace.The nation is mourning the loss of Her Majesty, and Hamilton sent out a emotional message just hours before she sadly died on Thursday.

The F1 driver met Queen Elizabeth II on many occasions, and was awarded a knighthood in the Queen's New Year Honours list after an incredible 2020 where he won a record-equalling seventh F1 world championship.But Hamilton once revealed that he recieved a telling off from Her Majesty, after excitement got the better of him during a meet at the Palace.

However, they quickly had a lovely chat, and it's a story that Hamilton will never forget.Hamilton was given the knighthood after he broke Michael Schumacher’s record for most F1 victories and campaigned for social justice in 2020.

And he's not done yet, as he chases that illusive eighth world title that will move him clear of the German legend.But ten years prior to that, Hamilton revealed that he was once corrected by The Queen after he broke the royal code in the Palace.
