Thomas Goode, the heritage homeware brand known for supplying tableware to the Royal Family, the Churchill family, and dignitaries and celebrities around the world, has built up a huge archive of exquisite china, silver and glassware, over almost 200 years of production and collecting.Now, as it prepares to move out of its Mayfair premises to make way for its first major refurbishment in 150 years, it is selling a sizeable chunk of that archive via an online auction at Sotheby’s starting on Tuesday.According to interior designer Guy Oliver, who will be overseeing the redesign of the store when the company moves out in the spring, “The place is rammed full of stuff.
