The One Show’s assistant producer Charlie Mott death has been ruled as an “open verdict", an inquest has heard on Tuesday 15 December.

Charlie was 25 when he died in August this year, after taking part in drinking games during a celebration at a five-bedroom countryside mansion with friends.

An inquest heard that Charlie had died from hanging in the early hours of Sunday 23 August at a manor in Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshire.

But, the coroner recorded an open verdict after ruling there was no evidence the assistant producer intended to end his life.
