Daniel McDwyer recalls how his school choir’s tribute to the Manchester Arena bombing led to a star turn at Ariana Grande's concert ‘On the night of the bombing I was in the city centre having a drink with friends and saw police cars and ambulances flashing past.
It wasn’t until I got home that news started to come through. One of my first thoughts was for my brothers, who are both in security at the Arena, so I rang my dad to check they hadn’t been working there.
I couldn’t believe what had happened, lots of young people would be at that concert. I am a vocal teacher and at the time ran a choir at Parrs Wood, a local secondary school.
