Mikel Arteta highlighted a positive from Arsenal's dismal defeat to Manchester City, describing Eddie Nketiah's performance as 'extraordinary'.
Nketiah surprisingly spearheaded the Gunners' attack when they resumed their Premier League campaign with Wednesday's 3-0 reverse at the Etihad.
The 21-year-old had few chances, but Arteta said his performance was a cause for optimism in a game which City won comfortably after David Luiz gifted the hosts two goals and earned himself a red card.
And Arteta believes Nketiah has a big future ahead of him as he battles Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Gabriel Martinelli for the central role in Arsenal's attack. "I want him to keep doing what he’s doing," said Arsenal boss Arteta
