Mikel Arteta has been urged by former manager Arsene Wenger to bring back his style of football to Arsenal. The Spaniard was captain of the Gunners under Wenger’s leadership and is now tasked with leading the club back into the Champions League.
Arsenal have struggled since Wenger’s departure in 2018 and his successor Unai Emery was sacked back in late November. Arteta left Manchester City where he was working as Pep Guardiola’s assistant to take the job in north London.
