The Mamas will be representing Sweden at Eurovision, it has been confirmed. The trio – consisting of Loulou Lamotte, Ashley Haynes and Dinah Yonas Manna, won the country’s Melodifestivalen 2020 with their ballad Move.

In 2019, The Mamas were backing singers to John Lundvik’s winning song Too Late for Love before creating their own group. Loulou, Ashley and Dinah were chosen through a combination of public votes and international jury votes, which includes Israel, Austria, Armenia, Australia, Malta, Iceland, France and the Netherlands.

Sweden made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and is currently second on the all-time Eurovision leaderboard with six victories.
