THE Green Planet viewers were left "in tears" last night as Sir David Attenborough issued a bleak warning about plants. The natural historian was seen addressing the audience at home in the final instalment of his five-part series looking at how plants survive.
In the final episode, David, 95, was seen investigating the ways in which some plants have adapted to the changing climate across the globe.
He also met with those helping flowers and fauna survive the changing temperatures, as well as fight off disease and avoid extinction.
However, the broadcaster took the time to frequently remind viewers throughout the hour-long episode of the need for action to save a number of plants.
