The agricultural storage building extension at Rothwells Farm in Golborne does not need to be demolished, Wigan's planning committee has ruled.
But one Golborne councillor told the committee that the barn is not a storage facility and is actually used as accommodation for agricultural farm workers.
Labour councillor Yvonne Klieve also accused the applicant - named only as Mr Price in council papers - of 'intimidation', saying a public right of way on the site has been blocked off by an electric gate using power
