Manchester Evening News.A court heard on Friday Thompson died at the Gardener Unit at Prestwich Hospital in Bury on October 3.Police were said to be awaiting the results of toxicology tests to establish a cause of death.Greater Manchester Police, however, have confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.A detective told the court Thompson was under 15-minute observations at the unit and staff noticed he had not moved in his bed, at around 12.30pm on October 3.They attempted CPR, the court heard, and he was taken to North Manchester General Hospital, where he was formerly pronounced dead at 2.20pm.The Crown Prosecution Service said the trial has now been vacated.Gill Green, Director of Nursing and Governance for Greater.
