Tattooed accountant covers herself in dozens of designs and says ink attracts people

@laurey.savannah page, dreamed of having tattoos since she was in primary school – and quickly got her first when she turned 18.

Laurey told the Daily Star: “Since I was 11 years old I wanted tattoos, I started with temporary ones all over my body.“Then, I got my first tattoo two weeks after my 18th birthday on my left upper arm – It’s Santa Muerte with an owl on her head.“When I turned 18 and got my first tattoo I just loved it so much and It started to become an obsession.

I just love the way how it looks on me.”Santa Muerte is a female deity sometimes called Our Lady of the Holy Death – a personification of death in Mexican Catholocism and Neopaganism.

She is associated with healing and protection.Laurey explained: “The inspiration behind it is that I can be my own kind of art.“I struggled and still struggle with mental health problems and it helps me feel protected and strong in my own body.“A lot of my tattoos are really meaningful to me, but after more than 50 you start tattooing a lot of what you like.“My absolute favourite is my hand tattoo [roses and lettering] and the newest – a snake with the moon on the side of my throat.”And, while some families would question someone getting so much ink at a young age, Laurey’s family are all ink-lovers themselves.She told us: “My mum and step dad have tattoos.“My stepdad is completely full.
