Location, Location star Kirsty Allsopp devastated as she announces father's death - 'We loved you so much'
Kirstie Allsopp has paid tribute to her her auctioneer dad after announcing her heartbreak at his death earlier this week.The Location, Location, Location presenter said her 83-year-old dad Baron Charles Henry Allsopp, was the "best" of his generation and she was "so proud" to have been his daughter.The businessman and antiques expert was the sixth Baron Hindlip and educated at Eton College before serving in the Coldstream Guards from 1959 until 1963, when he moved to work at Christie's, one of the world's most prestigious antique and fine-art auction houses. Kirstie, 52, posted a photograph of her dad doing what he loved and wrote an emotional caption alongside it which said: “This is my Dad, Charlie Hindlip, he was a great auctioneer, the best of his generation, an artist, a gardener, a father of four, and grandfather of eight, a loving husband to a wife he lost too soon." She continued: "“He was a real star, he worked hard, played hard and went further than anyone ever expected.
