Ed Sheeran has criticised the government for supporting bankers over bands.The Suffolk-raised singer-songwriter, who went to a state school in his hometown, spoke about his feelings on how the government have cut funding to the arts on Theo Von’s podcast.He said: “I’ve been doing probably for the last seven years stuff with music in high schools because in my area, so basically in 2017/ 2018, my old music teacher came to me and he was like, ‘look, the government that is currently in charge, do not value art at all.. arts, drama, music.’ And they cut all the funding for comprehensive high schools.“So my music teacher came to me and was going, I think they had to share between art, music and drama, like £700 per year for all three subjects. So I started funding that at my local high school.

Holmes alleged he was owed £10million in unpaid commission.Phil Sherrell, Holmes’s lawyer, told Variety: “Holmes successfully managed Coldplay for more than 22 years, steering them to be one of the most successful bands in history.

Lana Del Rey has teamed up with Quavo for a new single, ‘Tough’.The pair had been teasing the collaboration for some time, with the Migos rapper first hinting at working with Del Rey in a photo posted in May. Coldplay have shared the music video for their single ‘feelslikeimfallinginlove‘ following their headlining set at Glastonbury 2024.The band released the track early last week (June 21) which marked the first teaser of new music from the band since they announced details of their latest studio album ‘Moon Music’.Directed by Ben Mor – who previously directed the band’s Beyoncé collab ‘Hym For The Weekend’ – the black and white music video stars actress, writer and storyteller, Natasha Ofili (The Politician) performing her own American Sign Language interpretation of the song.The video also features the Deaf members of the Venezuelan Sign Language (LSV) section from El Sistema Venezuela’s Coro de Manos Blancas (White Hands Choir) a world-renowned performing arts ensemble from Barquisimeto, supported in collaboration with the Dudamel Foundation.Towards the end, Coldplay are seen performing the song at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, Greece in front of an audience who were invited via the band’s social media.Coldplay’s 10th studio album, ‘Moon Music’ is set for release on October 4.
